Therapy Sessions & Transparent Pricing
Investing in your mental health is one of the most important decisions you can make for yourself and your family. When you are navigating the heavy mental load of motherhood, you deserve highly personalized, flexible, and strictly confidential care without the restrictions often imposed by insurance networks.
At The Motherhood Wellness Center, we operate as a private-pay practice to ensure your therapy is dictated by your actual needs, not by an insurance company's quotas. Below, you will find our transparent pricing structure, session options, and a simple guide to utilizing your out-of-network benefits.
Session Options & Investment
We offer flexible payment structures to meet you where you are in your motherhood journey. Transparent pricing is a core part of our practice because we know that financial predictability reduces stress.
Single Therapy Sessions
Best for women looking for ongoing, flexible support that adjusts week to week based on their changing schedules and immediate day-to-day stressors.
Bundled Therapy Packages
Motherhood isn't a "one and done" experience; healing and growth happen in cycles. By choosing a session bundle, you are making a proactive commitment to your mental well-being while enjoying a reduced rate as low as $200 per session. While the sessions are paid for upfront, they can be scheduled at a frequency that fits your life.
Please note: All packages are non-refundable and must be used within 12 months of purchase. HSA/FSA cards are accepted for all bundled options.
Navigating Insurance & Out-of-Network Benefits
We are an out-of-network (OON) provider, which means we do not bill insurance directly. However, many of our clients receive partial or full reimbursement for their sessions depending on their specific health plan.
How Superbills Work
Upon request, we provide you with a monthly "superbill," a specialized, itemized medical receipt. You simply submit this document directly to your insurance portal, and your provider will process it and reimburse you in accordance with your out-of-network coverage.
Questions to Ask Your Insurance Provider
Call the member services number on your insurance card before our first session:
Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits for outpatient telehealth therapy?
Do I have an out-of-network deductible I need to meet? If so, how much is remaining?
What percentage of the session fee is reimbursed after my deductible is met?
Is any pre-authorization required before I begin therapy?
The Value of a Private Pay Therapy Practice
Why do we choose not to contract directly with insurance panels? It allows us to provide a higher standard of care tailored specifically to modern mothers across Boston and Massachusetts.
Complete Confidentiality
Insurance requires a formal diagnosis to approve treatment, which becomes part of your permanent record. Private pay allows us to treat burnout and stress without labeling you with a mandatory disorder.
Therapy on Your Timeline
Insurance panels often dictate exactly how long your sessions can be and how many you are allowed. We believe you and your therapist should decide what care looks like, free from outside limitations.
Specialized Expertise
Your investment goes directly toward specialized maternal mental health care. You are working with a PMH-C certified professional who dedicates her practice entirely to the nuances of motherhood.
